The First Presbyterian Church of Rutherford will conduct a “Drive-by” food drive on Saturday, April 5th between the hours of 9am and 1pm. All items can be dropped off without leaving your car, on East Passaic Avenue between Ridge Road and Park Avenue, where volunteers will be available to unload your packages curbside. The Rutherford Food Pantry is experiencing overwhelming demand. The community’s support is urgently needed. Children’s juices and snacks, canned fruit, tuna, condiments and coffee are always needed, as well as items which cannot be purchased with food stamps, such as toilet tissue, tissues, paper towels, cleaning products, and personal products such as bar soap, toothpaste, tooth brushes and shampoo. Monetary donations will also be gratefully accepted. Please keep in mind that the Pantry cannot accept expired food.
