The Five Minutes with the Holy Spirit - November 22 November 22: The Holy Spirit is the inner artist that can make us beautiful inside. Nowadays, this is especially important since we have a wrong idea of beauty. We consider people are worthy according to their physical appearance. The consumer society is constantly overwhelming us with products that are on sale to improve our external appearance. Hence, those who need to sell clothes, cosmetics and beauty treatments convince us that people are valuable because of their attractive body. However, nobody is completely happy with his own appearance, and most people fear becoming ugly, old or losing their physical appeal and then being looked down because of their aspect. Such futile suffering! Yet, we know everything is a lie, since the most attractive and fascinating beauty is the inner beauty of people, their virtues, their attitudes, their dignity, their generosity. The Holy Spirit will not make us taller or blonder since we are all beautiful for Him in several ways, although it does not correspond to the taste of the society. The Holy Spirit gives us the inner beauty that the world cannot provide and that is certainly not for sale. Let the Holy Spirit work on us so that we can achieve the superlative beauty.
