The Flash Flood Watch for the entire mid-south has been cancelled as the heaviest rain has now pushed south. However...A new weather threat is forecast for Monday afternoon (10/13) into Monday night. The Storm Prediction Center #SPC has put the entire mid-south in a slight risk for severe thunderstorms, indicating a 30% chance of severe thunderstorms within 25 miles of a point in our area. In addition...SPC has also put a hatched area over the region which means that there is a 10% chance of significant severe weather within 25 miles of a point. There are still a few details to sort out, but the threat is becoming increasingly more likely. Current thinking is that a line of thunderstorms will move through the area on Monday during the afternoon to early evening hours. The main threats appear to be damaging winds with a few tornadoes possible. Please stay tuned and remember to stay weather aware.
