The Fleeing Felon Rule basically says that it is legal for an officer to use deadly force on a felon that is in clear flight, regardless of whether or not the felon threatened the life of the officer. Even though, in the case of Michael Brown, it was a thin line between shoplifting and a felony, his use of force against the store clerk made the crime a strong-arm robbery which is a felony. So if Michael Brown was actually involved in the robbery, his death is completely justified by law. Thats is really scary.
