The Flow of Money Paul revealed in his writings that Satan is the god of this world. That means that Satan holds some sway and has influence in the way things work in this world and also how and where money flows in this world. Interestingly, when Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness, one of his temptations was to offer Jesus the kingdoms of this world. If Satans offer to Jesus was not legitimate, then his temptation was not real. Men also have a strong influence over how things work in this world system and also the flow of money in this world. Sometimes influenced by God, sometimes by Satan, and sometimes by their own desires or even lusts, men plan, maneuver, and even scheme in this world and influence where and how money flows. Christians should not think that the flow of money in this world or even in the church world is always dictated by God. We shouldnt imagine that every time a Christian prospers, it is because God is blessing them. They could be prospering because of the goodness of God; they could be prospering from their own hard work; they could be prospering from manipulating others [sad to say some ministers do this]; they might even be prospering because Satan is at work giving some of his kingdom to them to lead them away from their close relationship with God. Christians should not forget that the love of money is one of the greatest hindrances to spiritual life and to the working of the Word of God in ones life. Paul even said that those who desire to be rich pierce themselves through with many sorrows. Those who love money and are pursuing money or manipulating others to get it are on a very dangerous path. Some Christians think that every time money flows to them, or money flows to a ministry, or money flows into the church, it is can be attributed to God being at work and blessing. That is not, however, always true.
