The Fool The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God (Psalm - TopicsExpress

The Fool The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God (Psalm 14:1). Did you ever really think about the atheistic fool, Who sits on his philosophical stool; Convincing himself that he’s really cool, Just living each day by only one rule - His own? He’s very proud of his genetic pool, And all the degrees he earned in school; He spent most of his time in the vestibule, He doesn’t even know he’s as dumb as a mule; Now he’s grown! He’s good at dishing out ridicule, Upon all those of the Christian school; He employs every vicious tool, He finds each fault however minuscule; Then he’s gone! But where Oh where did the poor fool go? To Heaven above? or to Hell below? But he didn’t believe in either of these, And he never once fell on his knees; To pray! ‘Tis not my place to tell his fate, But if he waited one moment too late; With broken heart, I shudder to state, He’ll never make it to the pearly gate; No Way! And although God by His mighty power, Could have been his fortress and tower; Upon him many blessings did shower, Brought him from the womb as a flower, And he bloomed! If he called not upon God’s Son, Before his earthly race was run; Eternity for him has begun, He’ll never see another rising sun; He is doomed! © 2014 Arvil Jones
