The Foundation for Mott Community College and the Universal Kidney Foundation in cooperation with the Arab American Heritage Council, Jewish Community Services, Genesee Health System, Community Foundation of Greater Flint and Hurley Medical Center are hosting a Health Fair September 25, 2013, from 10 am to 4 pm, in conjunction with the Annual Student Fall Rally, at Mott Community College. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. There will be a special appearances of Jodi Davis, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Wellness & Healthy Lifestyle Advocate and member of the renowned Joy Fit Club. Additional to Ms. Davis, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan dietitian Grace Derocha will be on hand to demonstrate what foods go into healthy receipts. The event will continue at 6:00 pm with a featured an inspiring keynote presentation by Jeanne Fowler. She is a children’s advocate, author, and founder of Big Family of Michigan, a Macomb County organization dedicated to helping foster kids. The primary goal of the Health Fair will be to serve the health needs of our community through education, disease prevention and some basic health screening. We are asking your help in reaching even more members of our community this year and making this our biggest and most comprehensive Health Fair Flint has ever seen.
