The Frankfort Sewer Department (FSD) is rehabilitating the public sewers in Two Creeks. Over the next several months, repair and renewal of nearby sanitary sewers will occur. This will involve the demolition of three existing pump stations, construction of a new pump station, approximately 1,200 feet of 6” force main, 3,000 feet of 12” gravity sewer and 1,600 feet of 8” gravity sewer. The Sewer Department has hired a construction contractor, Smith Contractors, Inc., to perform this work. You should expect to see their staff and equipment in the area, along with the project engineer, Jacobs Engineering. You may see people placing equipment into sewer manholes, excavation around sewers, and single lane closures on some streets. The Frankfort Sewer Department will be hosting a neighborhood meeting for all interested residents in the Frankfort Country Club Ballroom next Tuesday, July 8th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. At the meeting, FSD and project staff will provide a project overview and answer any questions.
