The Fraser Gold Rush history continues....California gold miners made tracks to the Fraser River at the same time as Chinese immigrants. This was the natural area for many Pacific Northwest Indigenous clans including the Kwakiutl. To accommodate the burgeoning population infrastructure started immediately, including Roadhouses on the Harrison-Lillooet Route. The Cariboo Wagon Road is depicted below.
