The Friday Nitro before Summer Jam was full of surprises, and opened with a blockbuster as Scarlett nailed Miss Kelly with the Red Letter and took the GWA Womens Championship in the opening bout. Shell face Casi D on Sunday. JPM battled former tag champ Robert Matthews, but a springboard bulldog stunned Mathews and a Mey or Mey Not SSP gave the win to the X League number one contender. Lance Willoughby had his tune up match against former IC Champ Keston Love, but a northern lights suplex with a bridge gave the US Title number one contender a big win. Daniel Wood and Sean Patrick Irving made short work of the younger Courageous Brothers, as Gabe goes for the Power Surge power super-plancha. Casi D nails former champ Kay Kiwi with the block buster for a pin in an even match. Aubrey Scott gets TJ in an unfair tune up match set by Harrell and Power Line, but he uses TJs high risk style against him and then picks up the pieces. A tombstone thru a table gives Scott the win in the sixth minute. Josh Kirby battled Robb Riot and countered the Riot Control power bomb with a sit out face buster. The Kirby Kutter (inverted DDT/falling clothesline) wasnt enough, but after a swinging neck breaker and a spine buster Kirby connected with a Canadian Destroyer front flip pile driver for the pin. And in the main event, former champ Marc Thompson took on number one contender Leo Richardson. After countering The Stroke with a leg sweep face buster, Richardson connected with a super kick and hit the Case Closed for the win, as momentum carries him into Sunday.
