The Fudan-UC Center on Contemporary China and 21st Century China Program held a two-day conference at UC San Diego, highlighting up-and-coming research on politics, protest and control in China. Called “Stability Maintenance and the Chinese State’s Response to Social Conflict,” the conference included several working papers from the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies and affiliated faculty, highlighting deep multi-institutional collaborations key to the two research centers.
