The Future of Magazine Advertisements – QR Code Advertising With the evolution of smartphones and tablets the traditional print magazine has been fighting to stay relevant. To try and stay relevant many magazines have been trying to integrate the smartphone into their physical prints. It would make no sense to eliminate articles as consumers pay to read those but what about advertisements. In this article we will look at why QR code magazine advertising will take over. Curiosity of People If a magazine prints codes to scan like a QR code on a single page with no other sort of information people will be interested. They do not know what it is and people are driven to mysterious allures. The consumer will thus take their smartphone out to scan the QR Codes. Increased Revenue: If people are taking these QR advertisements more serious than the advertisers will drive traffic to their pages and will increase not only their revenues but will also pay magazines more to publish there QR Codes. An example of this would be a car repair shop posting a QR code about an oil change deal. Consumers will be more inclined to view the QR Code and chances of them wanting to get an oil change after could be desired by consumers more. Thus it is worth paying the magazines more to advertise this way as well.
