The Future of The Sharpening: Hi everyone! This is to inform you about some changes that are going to occur for the progression of The Sharpening. Thanks to all of you, the show is becoming a bigger hit on youtube than I originally thought it would, which is great news! For those who remember, The Sharpening started off as an audio-only podcast on blogtalkradio. A few months ago, I started doing video interviews to post to my youtube channel. As the number of youtube views and subscribers are increasing exponentially, the number of listens on blogtalkradio are decreasing. This is telling me the exciting news that the video interviews are far more popular than the audio-only podcasts. Due to this, we are going to be progressing The Sharpening by focusing on it as an internet tv show through youtube and phasing out from blogtalkradio. This will also help our budget since blogtalkradio costs money but youtube is free. We will still provide the mp3s of every episode if the demand is there, though they will most likely be posted on the Ministudy Ministry website for direct and free download. Not every guest is set up to do video interviews, so for the ones that are recorded as audio-only, they will be uploaded as well to youtube as a video (just as it is now, a picture of the ad for the show with the audio file playing in the background) in the Audio Episodes playlist that currently exists. So, all in all, we arent getting rid of anything, just changing things a bit to be more accessible to the majority while still providing for the rest. The Sharpening will go on as it always has been, just with a few upgraded features (such as a new set of sorts and some new techniques to hopefully improve the video quality, as well as other things to come). It is still planned on being a weekly show, but more than likely episodes will be posted once I have them; simply stated, new episodes might come earlier than ever Monday at 7pm EST. New episodes will be posted on youtube/joshpeckdisclosure , ministudyministry and, of course, here on facebook. Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be updating the show and focus more on the visual aspect.
