The GFS/Euro are keying on a storm system by the 28th-30th of October. The models are in significant disagreement on the specifics, but the overall scneario as a strong low pressure system moving into the Plains but differs on the position which in huge in determining the overall threats with the system let alone specific threats. Both of the models show sufficient shear, but are not ideal on instability but have sufficient moisture. However just a few days ago this was not even shown so this may go either way going towards impressive or megar. I can say this...Thunderstorms will be possibility with either model. A severe weather threat is possible as well, but the overall significance of this is much in question. This is not a clear cut forecast I had the last time so will not be issuing outlooks until confidence is sufficient. In a few days will have a greater idea of what we will be dealing with. This does not mean that this will be a significant event even though I dont issue an outlook this far out, because the European is suggesting just that.
