The GIFT of GAB :-) I went to the interview room and was greeted with an adrenaline rush to see the odd numbered panelists who all knew me on a clinical point of view. Incognito, i said to my alter ego, The moon and my lucky stars must have been aligned last night! as i was gingerly grinning to myself as if i was in my own bubble. I brought it home with the usual confidence. Only to go slightly off tract on the penultimate question. I gave a clinical answer as if i was teaching in a classroom. But the head of the panelists was specifically looking for an answer specific to the speciality im applying for. Oh boy! Why did i not think outside the box? But then again ( switching to DEFENSIVE MODE now, LOL!), 2nd best answer (or 2nd guess :-)) is better than a tamed silence. After that, i should have ended it with a perfect business pitch....Without being too patronising and overly familiar, i would like to thank the panelists A, B & C for inviting me to this interview blah blah (secret phrases :-)) blah blah. Do i really need to say that when ive rubbed shoulders with these peeps at work few years ago? Oh well, my only demise is my over confidence ugh! All in the name of interview! Cheecky me - Im just loving it! You tell me :-)
