The GOP is driven by its Tea Party wing, and evidently, so are the Democrats. Dont reward bad behavior: no votes for Democrats until Obama stops the deportations. Tea Party Republicans dont buy the lesser of two evils argument the GOP establishment peddles, so why do progressive voters seem content to accept whatever scraps the Democratic party is willing to throw them? It bears mentioning that Obama enacted the only significant immigration reform of his administration out of fear of losing the 2012 election after Marco Rubio floated his GOP Dream Act proposal that spring. As long as Democrats can count on progressive votes no matter how many people they deport, they have no incentive to ever stop.
