The GOP was supposed to stand for the following (And did back in the 50s:) A strong middle class, Education excellence, strong national defense, strong national manufacturing, fiscally responsible spending measures while ensuring an even playing field as possible (at least if you were white.) Now the GOP stands for the following: Hatred Prejudice Racism Religious intolerance (if you dont worship THEIR Jesus youre against them) Subjugation of Women (we should be silent, submissive, home makers, barefoot and pregnant. We have no place in the workforce and we deserve the rapes were subjected to by husbands and strangers for daring to hold our heads up) Greed Pro Corporate welfare and Pro crippling tax debt for the other 98% No social safety net Gerrymandering and other voting restriction measures to decrease participation by the populace Pro War but Anti-Veterans Pro for-profit prison but Anti-Education privatization of everything for maximized personal profit Destroying American workers ie: the middle class Destroy the level playing field of opportunity 100% immigrants who are anti-immigration for anyone else Exclude any one who is not male, white, angry, fearful, ignorant and proud of it, racist and cut throat, willing to win at all costs, and force legislation to enrich their own pockets and corporate donors at the expense of every single one of us, and pledged to uphold these current mandates. These are the truths I hold to be self-evident in todays America.
