The GT4 European Series already welcomed Daniel Roos and Erik Behrens and the Alfab Racing team at the start of the season. At Spa-Francorchamps two additional Swedish teams joined the series. Håkan Ricknäs and Magnus Holmström entered their Porsche 911 GT4 and they shared their tent in the Spa paddock with the Primus Racing Ginetta G50 GT4 of Johan Rosen (another Swede) and Danish driver Peter Larsen. On track the two Swedish teams were also close to each other, with Primus Racing taking third in GT4 Am in race one and Ricknäs Motorsport taking second in race two. Holmström was impressed with what he saw in Belgium. “It was our first time in GT4 European Series, normally we are racing in Sweden. I was smiling all the time. In Sweden we have just short tracks, but this track is something else. This is the best I’ve ever done.” “The competition in GT4 European Series is very hot. We need to gather more speed, more time on the racetrack. There were a lot of problems in the race and it was really close at some times. But we managed to take the car back to our tent and scored a podium finish in the second race. Our plans are to go to Monza later this year.” Of course the GT4 European Series hopes to see both teams in action again later this year. You and other Scandinavian teams are welcome!
