The Galesburg-Augusta Boys tennis team was defeated by Bridgman on Tuesday by a 5-3 score. Victorious for the Rams were Zach Wortinger, Calvin Foote, and Zach Reisterer. G-A was short handed today and were forced to Default at the #4 Singles flight. The Singles players dominated in their matches. Our doubles team are improving in our court positioning and placement of shots but we just have not gotten the results yet to show it. We had many Deuces and leads in games but just could never win those crucial points. Once we win a few of those, well see the actual scores tightening up and so will the opponents. We need to be more pro-active in making things happen and getting more uuumph into our shots and volleys. It is happening in practice and translating that aggressiveness into match play is the next step to our overall progression. Our focus for the rest of the season will be on playing point to point and trying not to focus on the set or match score. Keep up the hard work! The Rams next face B.C.Central in an away match on Thursday.
