The Genesis Of Problems In Marriage Is OPEN EYES- Gen.3:1-7. And the eyes of them both were opened... The principle of open-eyes is the principle of self-knowledge. The husband says, I see the wife retorts back with equal force I also see! What are you trying to show me that I have not already seen? the husband says, Follow me, let us do it this way, for that is how I see it. The wife counters back with a shout, How dare you tell me to follow you sheepishly, as if I cannot see the way myself? At best, we can be going side by sisde...it is not a matter of following ay more. If you see something, wait for me to also see it! I also have my eyes. My wyes have also, you know! I know what is good and what is bad for me.... I do not need to be told... We may compare notes anyway! This was the beginning of trouble in their home and in their lives. Waiting on God is out of the question...they started thinking, planning for themselves independently. Yet, their open eyes was not to see the devil and his wicked designs, to kill and to destroy them. They only opened their eyes to now see each others nakedness...it was an ugly discovery when Adam saw the nakedness of his wife outside the covering grace of God and outside Gods own lenses. He saw every mistake, every omission, every incongruence, every problem...enlarged and exaggerated under the convex lens of Mr. Flesh! Whom he used to call bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh... Woman, because she was taken out of me because the woman whom Thou gavest to be with me. No more part of me... This ugly woman cannot be out of my good self... As he was pushing her away from this identification, he was pointing the accusing finger on her weakness and incompleteness.. Then the wife also raised up her voice: who do you think you are? I can see you just as you are! Why were my eyes closed to all these unevenness of your life before...?
