The Genius Files (Part I): Elder Claude E. Tucker Music as a Vehicle for Outreach- Last night I was thinking about why there were so many young people at Mt. Olive and Elder Tuckers role in outreach. Well, he was brilliant in his tactics! He understood the power of music and Christian music is the most powerful of all genres. He also knew that young people attract other young people. So he used this knowledge to grow his congregation of young people to phenomenal numbers. He used reverse membership techniques to lure young people to Gods house. What do you mean? Well, he would invite you to sing in the choir and once the addictive nature of being around other young people took hold, next thing you know, you were joining the church and already a contributing member of Gods kingdom. Two slam dunks for the kingdom and all you felt was love! I didnt understand why he did this then, but #thisideaisgenius! Stay tuned for Part II: Charisma in the Pulpit.
