The German minister for Foreign Affairs Frank-Walter Steinmeier - TopicsExpress

The German minister for Foreign Affairs Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his predecessor from the eighties Hans-Dietrich Genscher, were yesterday at the German Embassy in Prague. They were there to commemorate Genschers famous words to 5000 East-German refugees in the garden of the West-German Embassy in Prague on 30 September 1989, 40 days before the fall of the wall in Berlin. About 150 of the former refugees from East Germany, who gathered at the Prague embassy in 1989 and stayed there for several weeks to flee to West Germany, attended this commemorative meeting.
