The Germs were one of those bands whos career didnt last long but their work have left a great impact on the music scene and became a great influence on future punk bands, especially in California where this band was founded in 1977. The band didnt last even for three years because the singer Jan Paul Beahm, better known by his stage name Darby Crash, disbanded The Germs in 1979 and moved to London where he heavily increased his heroin addiction and eventually on December 7th, 1980, Darby committed intentional suicide after he returned to the US by injecting a massive dose of heroin into him. In 2005 the original members reunited and recruited a new vocalist Shane West and the band was doing tours and recording some new/old material since then. This is some real punk music for you guys. Nothing fancy, just a core distorted sound with bad-punk vocals (as it should be) with amazingly quality lyrics - Crash was like that all the way.
