The Ghanaian body politics has being sorriedly and worriedly - TopicsExpress

The Ghanaian body politics has being sorriedly and worriedly reduced to hypocrisy and double standards instead of contest of ideas. This is sadly and unfortunately influenced by a corrupt media terrain in which skills in careful twisting of facts and building mountains out of mole hills to nail incumbent governments pay journalists a lot. This has resulted in most of the media houses and journalists in Ghana being alliened to one political party or the other with the desperate opposition party having the chunk because it is the highest bidder. Some senior journalists has being promised various ministerial and leading positions in government, mostly at the presidency, communications, information and attorney general departments, should a particular desperate opposition party come to power. How could anybody suggest that the sack of the former Deputy Communications minister is not a step in the right direction? Manasseh Azuri Awuni of Joyfm posted on his facebook wall hypocritically suggesting that government did not give Victoria Hammah a fair hearing and that she should not have been sacked. This is the same Manasseh who constantly run down the presidency for not hastely punishing culprits of his initiated GYEEDA report. Is that to suggest that we must allow incompetence, naivety and immaturity in our governmental and political leadership? Is that to suggest that we must not nip suspected potential acts of corruption in the bud? What sort of fair hearing was Manasseh ignorantly and hypocritically mooting for victoria Hammah? Could that supposed fair hearing be televised or broadcasted just like the Supreme Court hearing of the electoral petition? What the senior broadcast journalist at Joyfm, Manasseh Azuri Awuni obviously wanted was delays so he could do what he knows doing best to satisfy his pay masters and promote himself one more time in their books.
