The Giant Mousetrap (My Halloween Short Story) Part five: I almost fell to the ground in shock, it was my face, the person had my exact face. My twin stared at me for a couple seconds, then smiled. It wasnt an evil, frightening, or unnatural any way...it was my own normal friendly smile. Oh, the person spoke, I didnt expect to see myself here, I must have moved to a new neighborhood. I didnt say anything, I couldnt even move, I just stood there trying my best not to run away screaming. My twin spoke again, Yeah, I had the same reaction when I first met another version of myself. Marigold and I tried once to call other versions of ourselves, but our smart phones always glitch out when you scurry into another world, it is just one of those things that happens. What are you talking about?! I yelled, WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!?! Quiet, whispered my twin, If the whole neighborhood saw us BOTH here then who knows what will happen. Either come with me or leave and forget all about this. I dont care which, just dont let them see me. I dont understand, I was so confused I could barely talk, you MET Marigold...and you have SMARTPHONES?! You can be dramatic later, I will explain everything on the way...if you come with me. No way! I did not trust myself, not even a little. It was like having the Grim Reaper himself walk up to you and say, pull my finger. But I was too baffled by my clones casual yet somehow insane behavior to be truly afraid. Arent you a least a bit curious about me and how I got here? The clone while crossing the road, I am YOU after all, we clearly look exactly the same. Maybe you still believe in make-believe monsters. We dont look exactly the same, your hair is a lighter color. We look similar enough. And was part about being friends with a make-believe monster a joke or something? Are you coming or not? I took a deep breath and I started to follow, where are we going?
