The Giants collected 14 hits and used a solid seven-inning start from Joe Biagini to earn an 8-2 victory over the Modesto Nuts on Wednesday evening at John Thurman Field. San Jose never trailed and broke open a close game with a four-run top of the ninth en route to their season-high tying fifth straight win. Chuckie Jones (4-for-5, 2 2B, SB) had four hits, including a pair of doubles, to lead the offensive attack. Blake Miller (2-for-4, 3 RBI) and Alberto Robles (2-for-5, 3 RBI, SB) added two hits and three RBIs apiece while Brian Ragira (1-for-4, HR, 2 RBI) smacked his seventh home run of the season. Biagini (5-5) limited Modesto to a pair of runs on five hits during his stint on the mound to pick-up the win. The right-hander walked one and struck out five. milb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20140702&content_id=82875122&fext=.jsp&vkey=recap&sid=t476
