The Gift Not that I seek or am eager for [your] gift, but I do - TopicsExpress

The Gift Not that I seek or am eager for [your] gift, but I do seek and am eager for the fruit which increases to your credit [the harvest of blessing that is accumulating to your account]. Philippians 4:17 (AMP) Pauls motive in rejoicing in the gift from the Philippians was the spiritual benefit which they would gain as a result of it. He welcomed their kindness of giving. His enjoyment was in knowing that their accounts would increase because of their giving. The Philippians offerings enabled them to make good of their worldly possessions and to build up an account of Gods reward on their seed sown. The same is true for you today. When you give to the poor, feed the hungry and give into the Kingdom, you are adding to your spiritual bank account. Its just like your account with Vystar or Bank of America. If you make a deposit and leave it there, your money will earn interest for you and your account increases. With the end of the year quickly approaching, make a decision today to increase your giving. Give the gift of your time, resources and most of all the Word of God that has been planted in you. Share His promises and His goodness with someone else today, so they can make the same decision you already made; that is, to receive the greatest give of all, Jesus Christ. Prayer: Father, I thank you for the blessings you have already bestowed upon my life. My hearts desire is to honor you all the days of my life, in conversation, deeds and my substance. I realize that there is more favor and grace on my life to give now than ever before. Today, I commit to increase my gifts to you that I shall increase according to your Word. In Jesus name. Amen.
