The Gift of Generosity Moses became Pharaohs daughters - TopicsExpress

The Gift of Generosity Moses became Pharaohs daughters son Exodus 2:10 Remember when we looked at the admirable qualities in Pharaohs daughter? She was compassionate, kind, and courageous as she defied her fathers death sentence for Jewish baby boys and saved little Moses. To this fearless daughters credit, we now add the gift of generosity. Not only did she save Mosess life, but she also took him into Pharaohs palace as her son and raised him as royalty. What blessings and benefits did Moses enjoy as the adopted son of Pharaohs daughter? Her care helped build a solid foundation so Moses would be an effective leader of Gods people. Being raised in Pharaohs home, he saw government up close. Her kind act was Gods means of delivering the child who would one day lead His people out of Egypt. Her adoption of Moses afforded him the privileges of a royal son. Her parentage meant an education and knowledge of the Egyptian language for the man who would one day negotiate with Pharaoh, lead the Israelites out of Egypt, and write the first five books of the Bible. Through the actions of one noble woman, God moved His servant Moses from the reeds along the Nile River into a royal household. He was transplanted from the simple home of persecuted Israelite parents to a luxurious palace. From a future of sheperding and brick-making he was prepared to become the leader of the Hebrew nation. Have you thought about the many advantages and blessings youve received from others? Thank God for His gifts to you through people who have helped you. Then express your gratitude to your parents, relatives, friends, teachers, benefactors, and mentors.
