The Gilchrist County School District has been awarded a $135,894 grant from the United Way of North Central Florida to provide scholarships to disadvantaged families over the next three years. These scholarships will allow eligible three and four year olds to attend our quality pre-kindergarten programs at TES and BES. 90% of students who attend our Pre-K programs enter Kindergarten “ready” as compared to only 66% of children who do not participate. Superintendent Rob Rankin is excited about the opportunity to provide services for more families. “We’re proud to partner with the United Way to build a stronger community benefitting our students and our families.” If you would like to enroll your child in Pre-K for the upcoming school year, please contact Mrs. Salley Martin at (352) 463-4407 or [email protected].
