The Global Power Museum Association Fall Awards Banquet (formally the Eighth Air Force Museum Association), scheduled for November 8th, 2013 Bossier City, LA, September 11, 2013 — The Global Power Museum Association Distinguished Speaker Series Fall Banquet (formally the Eighth Air Force Museum Association) is scheduled for November 8th at Silver Star Steakhouse, 1201 Dixie Overland Rd, Bossier City, LA 71111. Cocktails at 6:00, Dinner is scheduled for 7:00. Cost including dinner is $75 each. Dress is Business Casual, Open Collar. The Distinguished Speaker Series highlights a well known spokesperson throughout the year for a dining event to remember. The Museum Association is proud to present Major General Jack Weinstein, Vice Commander, Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, La. Gen. Weinstein has served as a Minuteman missile combat crew commander, instructor, evaluator, flight commander, emergency war order instructor and as executive officer to the Commander, 20th Air Force. He also served on the Headquarters Air Combat Command, Air Force Space Command and U.S. Strategic Command staffs. He has commanded at the squadron, group and wing levels. Prior to his current assignment, he was Director of Air, Space and Cyberspace Operations, Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. He was responsible for organizing, training, and equipping Air Force Space Command units for space and cyberspace operations and integrating space and cyber capabilities into the operational level of war. Gen. Weinstein holds a Master Space Professional Badge and Master Missile Operations Badge. Some of his awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal with bronze star, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Medal. “Gen.
