The Glorious Morning. The Word That Makes Disciples. Topic: The gift of miracles. Base Bible: (1 Corinthians 12: 10; 1 Corinthians 14:12). To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; and to another the interpretation of tongues. Even so ye, since you are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek to abound for the edification of the church. Introduction: WHAT IS AND WHAT IS NOT. (1 Corinthians 12:31) But covet earnestly the best gifts. Shrew I unto you a more excellent way. (1 Corinthians 14:12) So likewise ye; since you are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek to abound for the edification of the church. Paul is writing to the whole church, not just an individual. If the church as a body longs for the manifestations of the Holy Spirit to manifest in their midst, then the Holy Spirit would divide them among all the brethren as wanted. A number of times heard him say: If he can do it, so could I.. . You have confusion in your body, if your foot should say, If the eye can see, I also. And of course, the foot CAN NOT SEE, YOU CAN NOT TAKE THE PLACE OF THE EYE AND DOING WELL. God will honor the faith of the people who believe in Him. But we could get things faster by men of God who are especially used in some areas, such as those in whom the power gifts operate. What is a MIRACLE? A MIRACLE IS A SUPERNATURAL INTERVENTION IN THE ORDINARY COURSE OF NATURAL WORLD ORDER A TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CUSTOMARY, AN INTERRUPTION OF NATURAL SYSTEM OPERATED AS WE KNOW THE POWER OF HOLY SPIRIT. The new birth is not a miracle, because it is a supernatural intervention in the ordinary course in the spiritual world. The birth of a child is not a miracle, because it is a natural intervention in the ordinary course in the natural world. Each of the manifestations of the Holy Spirit are supernatural, and the general sense spoken are miracles. But specifically speaking they are not. In terms of health, sometimes miracles are received, but them ARE NOT THE REPRESENTATION OF THE GIFT OF MIRACLES ARE MIRACLES OF HEALTH. Everything God does is a miracle in the general sense, but is not necessarily a supernatural intervention in the ordinary course in the natural world. The miracles are an important manifestation of the Spirit is the great power of God flowing through a person. The person who at the time this event occurs, part of the same power that operated God creating the world, and He did a miracle when brought into existence the world with a word. God allows a bit of his omnipotence, as the Holy Spirit wants, whether manifested in a person. COMES AS. EXAMPLES. USE. Elisha parted the Jordan with the mantle that gave Elijah by this manifestation of the Holy Spirit. 2 Kings 2:14 14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? And so had smitten the waters, they were divided hither and thither: and Elisha went over. Moses became lice powder, as well as the other 9 pests, they were all manifestations of the gift of miracles. Exodus 8: 16-17 16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the earth, that it may become lice throughout the land of Egypt. 17 And they did so; Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the Earth, WHICH BECAME LICE AS WELL AS IN MEN IN THE BEASTS; ALL THE DUST OF THE EARTH BECAME LICE IN WHOLE COUNTRY OF EGYPT. (The same Hebrew word for lice may be translated swarm of mosquitoes) The Lord Jesus turned water into wine by speaking a word. Of course, you can make wine naturally, but that was a supernatural intervention in the ordinary course in the natural world. John 2: 1-11 1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and it was there the mother of Jesus. 2 Y were also invited to the wedding Jesus and his disciples. 3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 4 And Jesus said unto him, What do you want with me, woman? It has not been my time. 5 His mother said to the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you. 6 And there were set there six water pots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, in which each holding twenty or thirty gallons. 7 Jesus said unto them, Fill the jars with water. And they filled them to the brim. 8 And he said unto them, Draw out now, and take it to the master. And they took him away. 9 When the steward tasted the water now become wine, without knowing where it came from, though the servants knew who had drawn the water, called the bridegroom, 10 and said unto him, Every man serves the good wine first, and when men have well drunk, then the inferior; You have kept the good wine until now. 11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed in him. The working of miracles was more prominent or was more operational in the Old Testament in the New Testament. Although people were healed and gifts of healings were in operation in the Old Testament, the New Testament gifts of healings were more in operation in the Old Testament. Aaron threw his staff and it became a serpent. (Exodus 7: 8-12) 8 LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, 9 When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle Say to Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, that snake is made. 10 So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did as the LORD commanded. And Aaron took the rod before Pharaoh and his servants, AND BECAME SNAKE. 11 Then Pharaoh also called wise men and sorcerers, and also did the same the magicians of Egypt with their enchantments; 12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents; but Aarons rod swallowed up their rods. The gift of miracles parted the Red Sea, but the gift of faith remained divided. This was a continuous miracle. (Exodus 14: 15-22) 15 And the Lord said to Moses: Why do you cry to me? Tell the Israelites to leave. 16 Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide, and the children of Israel through the midst of the sea on dry ground. 17 And behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians to follow them; and I honor over Pharaoh and all his army, his chariots and his horsemen; 18 and the Egyptians shall know that I am Jehovah, when I honor upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and his horsemen. 19 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before them and stood behind them, 20 And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and was a cloud and darkness to them, and gave light to Israel at night, and all that night never came to each other. 21 And Moses EXTENDED HAND OVER THE SEA, AND DID THE LORD sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night; AND BECAME THE SEA IN DRY, AND THE WATERS WERE DIVIDED. 22 And the children of Israel went into MEAN SEA, DRY, TAKING THE WATERS AS WALL TO YOUR RIGHT NOW YOUR LEFT. Elisha and the cruse of oil widow who kept flowing. (2 Kings 4: 1-7) 1. A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD; and the creditor is come to take my two children as slaves. 2 Elisha said unto him, What shall I do? Tell me what you have at home. And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, BUT AN OIL VESSEL. 3 Then he said: VE VESSELS AND REQUESTS FOR YOU BORROWED FROM ALL YOUR NEIGHBORS, EMPTY VESSELS, NO BOTTOM. 4 Then, shut yourself YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN; And ECHA IN ALL VESSELS, AND WHEN THIS ONE FULL, PONLA APART. 5 So she went and closed the door behind her and her children; and they brought the vessels, and she poured out. 6 When the vessels were full, she said to her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said: No more pots. Then the oil stopped. 7 Then she came and told the man of God, who said, Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons can live on what is left. Elijah and the widow and the oil and meal that kept flowing. (1 Kings 17: 8-16) August came to him word of the Lord, saying: 9 Arise, go to Zarephath of Sidon, and dwell there; behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee. 10 And he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering sticks; and he called, and said, Please bring me a little water in a glass to drink. 11 And she was going to fetch it, he called back and said, I pray thee, bring me a morsel of bread in your hand. 12 And she said unto Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, only a handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse; I am gathering two sticks, to go in and prepare for me and my son, that we may eat, and let us die. 13 Elijah said unto him, Fear not; see, MAKE AS YOU SAY; BUT MAKE ME MY FIRST OF IT A little cake ASH, and bring it; AND THEN WILL MAKE FOR YOU AND YOUR SON. 14 For the LORD God of Israel, says: The bowl of flour shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil, until the day that the Lord sends rain on the face of the earth. Then SHE WAS 15 AND MADE AS LE ELIAS SAID; and ate him, and she, and her house, many days. 16 FLOUR OF TINAJA not exhausted NI OIL VESSEL empty, according to the word that Jehovah he spake by Elijah. Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes and fed 5000. (John 6: 5-14) 5 When Jesus looked up and saw that had come to him a great multitude, said to Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? 6 And this he said to prove because he knew what he had to do. 7 Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for each take a little. 8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peters brother, said: 9 There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two fishes; but what are they among so many? 10 Then Jesus said, Make the men sit. Now there was much grass in the place; and they sat down, in number about five thousand. 11 And Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; ALSO OF FISH, AS THEY WANTED. 12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. 13 Therefore they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten. 14 Those people saw SIGNAL Jesus did, said, This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world. In the book of Acts, we read that the gift of miracles was used to bring divine judgment. (Acts 5: 1-10) 1 Now a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, 2 And kept the price, his wife also being privy; and brought a certain part, and laid at the feet of the apostles. 3 And Peter said, Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and have kept the price of the land? 4 Whiles, do you can not remain your own? and sold, was it not in your power? Why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? NO HAS LIED TO MEN, BUT GOD. 5 A Ananias hearing these words, fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard it. 6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out and buried him. 7 After an interval of about three hours, it happened that when his wife, not knowing what had happened. 8 Then Peter said unto her, Tell me whether ye sold for the land? And she said, Yea, for so much. 9 Then Peter said: WHY agree to test the Spirit of the Lord? BEHOLD THE DOOR THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BURIED AT YOUR HUSBAND, AND they will carry you. 10 TO THE MOMENT SHE DROPPED THE FEET, AND EXPIRED; and the young men came in they found her dead; and they carried her out and buried her beside her husband. They had all things in common. NO REGISTRATION IN SCRIPTURE THAT GOD WILL HAVE SAID THAT WOULD, OBVIOUSLY THEY HAD THE IMPULSE OR INTERIOR OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WITNESS TO DO THIS, AND THIS PROBO BE A WISE MOVE BECAUSE IN A FEW YEARS THE CITY WAS DESTROYED AND THEY HAVE LOST EVERYTHING WHAT HAD IN ANY WAY. So Ananias and Sapphira could have kept all the money or part of it and would have been fine. But they lied and Peter knew the word of knowledge. We see here too disbelief departe of Ananias and Sapphira; if things were not going well, they might have had something in the bag yet. (Note that three hours passed and Sapphira knew nothing gossip in some places had run fast- or worship had already ended because should not last much). WHERE ARE THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT IN PROTEST, THE PEOPLE IS ALL DAY. WHERE THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS MOVING PEOPLE NOT TO GO HOME hurry. We also see that this event was used to confirm the preached word. Elymas was blind for a while, was not a disease but a trial. (Acts 13: 4-12) 4 So they, being sent by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus. 5 When they arrived at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. They also had John as an assistant. 6 And having gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, named Bar-Jesus, 7 who was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, a prudent man. This called for Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the word of God. 8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation), seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. 9 Then Saul, who also is called Paul, filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, 10 and said !! O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness! Wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? 11 NOW, THEREFORE, BEHOLD THE HAND OF THE LORD IS AGAINST YOU, AND YOU WILL BE BLIND, AND NOT REALLY THE SUN FOR A WHILE. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. 12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, astonished at the teaching of the Lord. Whenever the Holy Spirit moves, it always bring glory to the Lord Jesus and His work. In (Acts 27) Paul was not stopped and said: Storm detente but because God spoke to him, he was beyond the ordinary faith to believe for divine protection, this was the gift of special faith in operation, and he received preservation for every man but the ship was lost. (Acts 27: 21-26) 21 Then Paul, as a long time without food, stood among them and said, certainly would have been desirable, sirs, have heard, and not have loosed from Crete to receive this damage and loss. 22 OS WARRANT BUT NOW HAVE A GOOD CHEER, BECAUSE THERE WILL BE NO LOSS OF LIFE AMONG YOU, but only of the ship. 23 For this night an angel of the God whose I am and whom I serve, 24 saying, Fear not, Paul; It MUST be brought before Caesar; BEHOLD, GOD HAS GIVEN YOU ALL SAILING. 25 THEREFORE, OH BOYS, be of good cheer; WHY IN GOD I TRUST TO BE WELL AS TOLD ME. 26 WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO GIVE IN ANY ISLAND. More in Mark 4 the Lord Jesus rebuked the storm. On this occasion the gift of miracles was used to rid INEVITABLE a situation of danger. (Mark 4:39) 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea: Peace, be still. And CESO THE WIND, AND BECAME BIG BONANZA. MAKING MIRACLES IS USED TO SHOW THE SPLENDOR AND THE POWER OF GOD. In the New Testament there are many examples of this gift of miracles with the exception of the ministry of the Lord Jesus as there are examples of the gifts of healing. (Acts 5:12, 8: 5-7) 5:12 BY THE HAND OF THE APOSTLES SIGNS AND WONDERS IN MANY PEOPLE DID SE; and they were all with one accord in Solomons porch. 8: 5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ unto them. 6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7 BECAUSE THEY HAD MANY EVIL SPIRITS, out with a loud voice; And many paralyzed and lame were healed. It does not say specifically what were these signs and wonders, healings but later and this would not be the gift of miracles. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO WITH HEALTH IS ABOUT THE GIFTS OF HEALING WHEN IT COMES TO REPRESENTATIONS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. In 2 Kings Isaiah makes the shadow return backward 10 degrees. (2 Kings 20: 8-11) 8 And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the Lord will heal me, and that I shall go to the house of the LORD the third day? 9 And Isaiah said, This sign to you from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that has said the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees? 10 And Hezekiah answered, It thing is that the shadow to go down ten degrees; but let the shadow return backward ten degrees. 11 And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD; AND MADE BACK FOR THE DEGREE THAT HAD FALLEN IN SHADOW WATCH AHAZ ten steps backward. In 1 Kings Elijah calls down fire from heaven. (1 Kings 18: 36-39) 36 At the time of sacrifice came, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that mandate yours have done all these things. 37 Hear me, hear me, that this people KNOW YOU, O LORD, YOU ARE THE GOD AND YOU COME BACK TO YOU THE HEART OF THEM. 38 THEN FELL FIRE OF THE LORD, AND CONSUMED THE HOLOCAUST, FIREWOOD, STONES AND DUST, and licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 SEEING ALL THE PEOPLE, fell prostrate and cried: JEHOVAH IS GOD, THE LORD IS GOD! Samson kills a lion. (Judges 14: 5-6) 5 Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath; and when they came to the vineyards of Timnath, behold, a young lion roared against him. 6 And the Spirit of Jehovah came mightily upon him, he tore the lion as one tears A KID, WITHOUT ANYTHING IN YOUR HAND; and he told not his father or his mother what he had done. Eliseo makes an iron ax to float in water. (2 Kings 6: 5-7) 5 And it happened, as one was felling a beam, the ax head fell into the water; and he cried out !! Ah, sir, it was borrowed! 6 The man of God said, Where fell it? And he showed him the place. THEN CUT A BAT, AND THE ECHO THERE; E made the iron float. 7 And he said, Take it. And he put forth his hand, and took it. The Lord Jesus makes a multitude of fish from jumping to the network. (Luke 5: 4-6) 4 When he finished speaking, he said to Simon into deep water and let down your nets for a catch. 5 Simon answered and said unto him, Master, all have been working night and caught nothing; nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6 And having done this, they caught lots of fish, and their net brake. There are some who say, Thats not for these times. Why say that? Because we have none . If you do not have it IS BECAUSE WE ARE NOT MEETING THE CONDITIONS OF GOD. If the group of believers as we are not having, it is because we are not willing, we are not longing. They will not come just because we sat and talked about them and how they wish they could manifest. IF SOMEONE REALLY WANT ANYTHING, VA ANY EFFORT TO THAT ADDRESS. Learning, yearn and pray for them. learn: (1 Corinthians 12: 1) 1 DO NOT WANT, brethren, ABOUT SPIRITUAL GIFTS. craving: (1 Corinthians 12:31) 3 covet earnestly the best gifts. Shew I unto you a more excellent way. (1 Corinthians 14: 1) 1 Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. pray (Acts 4: 29-30) 29 And now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants that with all boldness they may speak thy word, 30 stretching forth thine hand WHILE TO BE MADE FOR HEALING AND SIGNS AND WONDERS BY THE NAME OF YOUR HOLY SON JESUS. We pray in this direction, Lord, these events are for us today. You do not have carried the church. You said that these gifts were given to the church, which belong to us, we must have them. Now we pray that they are in manifestation . At this time, God wants this gift of miracles is more prominent than the other two gifts of power, because it is an amazing explosion of all power.
