The God concept is a peculiar thing to me. A beautiful, innocent person is stricken with a terrible disease, and people pray to God to cure them. Then when the medical people work their asses off straining the limits of knowledge and an improvement is made, everyone thanks God. Why? Didnt God at least let this happen, if not directly cause it to in first place? Im sure the answer I would hear were I foolish enough to ask one of the believers would be along the lines of God works in mysterious ways.. Personally, I think this God must be either completely insane or exceedingly cruel. But, if the belief gets one through a long night, there is at least that value.
