The God-of-the-universe experienced the world-of-a-teenager for Himself. Bible verses for teenagers 7 fun years of a teenage life. If you do the math, Jesus spent twice as many years as a teenager (7 years) as He did in ministry (3.5 years). God obviously felt it was important for Himself to BE A TEENAGER TOO. He wanted teenagers to be able to hear advice directly from Him on how to be a teenager: how to enjoy being a teenager, how to find significance as a teenager, how to prepare for success in life after the teenage years (the rest of your life), and how to be forever young (literally, how to live forever). Here is God’s very own godly advice in the Bible for Teenagers: Bible verses for teenagers Psalm 119:9-11 “How can a YOUNG MAN or YOUNG WOMAN keep his or her way pure? By taking heed according to Your Word. With my whole heart I have sought You; oh, don’t let me wander from Your commandments! Your Word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against You.” God begins with a question for you. “How in the world, in a world like this, can a young man or young women keep their way CLEAN?”. Please know, Jesus didn’t grow up in a Holy City. Jesus grew up in Nazareth. Nazareth was no city of saints. It was not a ‘good’ place to grow up, not exactly a ‘healthy environment’ for young people. So, how did Jesus keep himself ‘pure’ growing up in a place like that? The same way you can … by taking heed according to His Own Word (the Bible). God’s advice for you is to pay attention to His Word, get His Word into your heart, seek the Lord with your WHOLE HEART, even now, while you are young. Don’t wander away from God’s Word! Be in God’s Word. Bible verses for teenagers Proverbs 1:2-5,7 “To know wisdom and instruction, to perceive the words of understanding, to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, judgment, and equity; to give prudence to the simple, to the YOUNG MAN and YOUNG WOMAN knowledge and discretion—a wise man or woman will hear and increase learning, and a man or woman of understanding will attain wise counsel … the fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Your Decisions will determine your Life! Many of the decisions you make as a Teenager will impact and affect the rest of your life. You need WISDOM to make the right decisions and choices in your life! God’s Word gives you the wisdom and instruction and understanding and knowledge and prudence and discretion and wise counsel that you need to succeed. Go to God and go to God’s Word to get wisdom. AND, get a healthy ‘fear of the Lord’ while you are young too! That’s where WISDOM and KNOWLEDGE begins. In other words, if your greatest fear in life is the ‘fear of the Lord’, then you’re good to go. If the ‘fear of the Lord’ is NOT your greatest fear in life, then you’re going to run into trouble. GREAT EXAMPLE FOR YOU: Daniel 1:17 “As for these four YOUNG MEN, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom.” Be wise. Bible verses for teenagers Ecclesiastes 11:9-10 & 12:1 “Rejoice O YOUNG MAN and YOUNG WOMAN in your YOUTH, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your YOUTH; walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these God will bring you into judgment [in other words: God will hold you accountable for your actions] … therefore Remove sorrow from your heart and put away evil from your flesh for childhood and youth are vanity. Remember now your Creator in the days of your YOUTH, before the difficult days come and the years draw near when you say, ‘I have no pleasure in them.’” God says here in Ecclesiastes that there are 3 ‘R’s for a happy teenage-life and teen-experience. ONE, Rejoice in your youth – the energy and enjoyment of being young. TWO, Remove sorrow and evil from your flesh. Don’t make bad choices. Do right. THREE, Remember your Creator during your teen-years. Essentially, God says I created you to “have fun, avoid evil, and enjoy Me in your YOUTH” so you don’t experience another ‘R’ word —> Regret! Be happy. Be good. Bible verses for teenagers Isaiah 40:28-31 “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the YOUTHS shall faint and be weary, and the YOUNG MEN and YOUNG WOMEN … those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Remember your Creator … AND ALSO wait on Him! God is telling you to not rush through your teen years. Don’t rush through your life in these 7 important years of being a Teenager or you will wear yourself out. You will weary yourself spiritually and emotionally if you rush through your life. WAIT ON THE LORD! Wait on His timing. Waiting on His strength. Isn’t it interesting that Jesus didn’t begin His ministry until He was 30 years old? Not even God rushed through His teen-years. He enjoyed them and waited on the Lord. Think again on Luke 2:52, “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” Be patient. Bible verses for teenagers 1 Timothy 4:12 & Titus 2:6-8 “Let no one despise your YOUTH, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” Titus 2:6-8 “Likewise, exhort YOUNG MEN and YOUNG WOMEN to be sober-minded, in all things showing yourself to have a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that no one has something evil to say of you.” God says BE A BELIEVER and BE AN EXAMPLE! Have a pattern of good works. Don’t think for a minute that your life doesn’t matter as a Teenager. God says in your words and in your actions and in your thoughts be an example of God’s love and God’s spirit. Be faithful; be pure. Bible verses for teenagers 1 John 2:13-17 “I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I write to you YOUNG MEN and YOUNG WOMEN because you have overcome the wicked one. I write to you little children because you have known the Father. I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you YOUNG MEN and YOUNG WOMAN because you are strong and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one. Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him or her. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. The world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he or she who does the will of God abides forever.” Teenagers … we’re back to God’s first advice to you in Psalms 119, LET THE WORD OF GOD ABIDE IN YOU! Overcome the wicked one (Satan)! Fall in love with God; do NOT fall in love with the world. Do the will of God! God says the world is passing away, all of it is passing away, BUT he or she who does the will of God will abide forever, live forever. Don’t trust in your flesh. Don’t trust in your eyes. Don’t trust in your own self-pride. Be strong. globalmensgroup/bible-verses-for-teenagers/
