“The Good Questions?” The Beginnings: On a quiet September evening at Alton College, Hampshire, five slightly nervous individuals introduced themselves to the tutors at the Colleges new RockSchool: Reloaded course. Two six string guitar players, two bass players and a drummer nervously worked through “Yellow” by Coldplay as an introduction to the course. Over the following weeks a singer joined the course and “Yellow” and other songs went from nervous attempts to spirited songs as the band jelled together. As part of the RockSchool: Reloaded course at the end of the second term there was to be a “gig” for friends and family to show how much had been achieved at the college. On their own the band decided to run through their set list in their own time and it was there that the name “Black Coffee and the Drummer” was used as a temporary name. The “gig” went ahead on the 17th of December 2012 with a set of 8 songs over half an hour with a warm reception from the invited audience, at the last minute it was decide to add “Santa Clause is Coming to Town” by Bruce Springsteen, the East Street Band had nothing to worry about. Continuing the course and adding to the set list there was an evening playing to an unknown and unsuspecting audience at a Blues night at the “Old Ford” pub in North Camp near Aldershot where the band played 3 songs and were well received after being introduced as the birth of a new Rock band by the compare. Just after the “gig” at the Old Ford one of the original guitarists announced that although he enjoyed playing with the band and rehearsing he found the pressure of playing live too much. This resulted in a search by the band and the arrival of a new lead guitarist. With an altered line up and after some previous discussion it was decided that a change of name was required. This was when “The Good Questions?” came into being. “The Good Questions?” are; Vocals: Martin Drums: Stuart Bass/Percussion: Keith Bass/Keyboard/Backing vocals: Tony Lead Guitar: PaulM Rhythm Guitar: PaulT
