The Good, The Bad and The Pretty. The Bad: This Am, 1:30 received a call about the 200 + yr old Sycamore top I moved to WSP being on fire. I called JCPD and rushed to the site. As i approached, I noticed numerous Youngins leavening the scene. Yep, sure enough. That old history piece was afire. Obviously. charcoal starter had been at play.The JCFD arrived shortly and did Their thing. The good: It;s still in one piece, with some scars. The pretty: Work is in process to restore WSP to some originally of the beginning. Mainly, the Point where it all started. Only one willow left but the 6x6s are still embedded in their concrete/rebar holdings. The benches will be re-placed. The sandbar is receiving careful attention by P&R due to the recent powerful flow. When this Operator does His thing here, I assure You its not just a job, its personal pride.. All is well.
