The Goodwood Revival is a three-day festival held each September at Goodwood Circuit since 1998 for the types of road racing cars and motorcycle that would have competed during the circuits original period—1948–1966. It is one of the worlds most popular motor race meetings and the only UK event which recreates the golden era of motor sport from the 1950s and 1960s. The video Im attaching is from The Goodwood Revival 2008, St Marys Thropy. Tony Dron (racing driver and writer) is in the infamous Ford Zodiac against a Jaguar MK1. This video is very related to Romance with Rust, why??? Let me tell you... The Zodi goes well, dont you think? The responsible party for this is Zodiac Motor Services (ZMS). ZMS is a very cool company based in Kent, UK. Kevin Dipchan, the owner, specializes in Mk 1,2 & 3 Consul, Zephyr & Zodiac, hes very passionate about speed and building engines back as they were in the day. He uses original performance parts such as Raymond Mays and Aquaplane. Hence, the link with Chris Ashworth owner of Romance with Rust. Theyve been friends for many years and as you can imagine theyve done many business transactions, the latest being the build of a new engine and transmission for our new Zephyr. The Zephyr is a 58 and the plan for the car, is to build a competitive track car to compete in Historic Racing here and Europe. Chris has been collecting parts for many years and now, its the time to complete the puzzle with the help of Kevin. And of course, to use a complete Raymond Mays set up as a power plan which should produce over 200bhp, so, with that being said the car should be a lot of fun on the track... M.
