The Google Identity Platform: Where Google and Google + Have Been - TopicsExpress

The Google Identity Platform: Where Google and Google + Have Been and Where It Could Go In The Future So today I had the opportunity to attend Hangouts On Air About with former Googler Chris Messina who headed the UX team for Google Plus and created the Google + Button and usage of the hashtag within Google Plus. (Cool, Right?) Although I know this is a bit off topic think it is relevant to our community because we all use Google + where some insights, ideas, criticisms, and overall theme of this Hangout On Air brought up some valid and sometimes overlooked points about Google and Google Plus. First I will warn you that if you decide to watch the almost two hour hangout (yea, it was that good that it took almost two hours to complete the conversation and between you and I it could have gone on longer) there are a few moments if you will that got pretty intense. This hangout really explored the world of Google+ its history, its intent, where it is today, and where it could potentially grow into a social network like no other. I learned that Google + originally was developed under the code name Emerald Sea, Google+ was internally being called Google Me. The idea at the time, he said, was to make the site a sort of home base for users, where they would decide which information theyd like to share about themselves and with whom theyd like to share it. https://plus.google/117417905687683463241/posts/Nk4WxHY9DBN
