The Gospel 2013 A. D. Love only those that love thee, pray only for those who support thee, shun those who despitefully use thee, turn up thy nose at those who do not like thee, have no good thing to say about thine enemies. Know ye not, that thy Father in heaven desireth above all things that thou mayest be materially rich, known of all men, popular amongst thy brethren? But take no thought for thy soul or for the salvation thereof, for the Son of Man came not that thy sins may be forgiven, but that thou mayest walk in sin without guilt. Seek ye not truth, for thy Father respecteth not truth, but cleverness and eloquence is good and right in the sight of God. If thy brother offend thee, put him out of thy life, and forgive not his transgressions. Listen not to the teacher who studieth in the Word, for he knoweth nothing; give thine ear to him who hath the skill to tickle it, for it is in emotion that the Spirit of God dwelleth. Above all, keep thy faith unto thyself, help no one, feel nothing for the poor, for the Lord thy God will give thee excuses for all that is not holy, that thou mayest somehow be saved without holiness. The Gospel 30 A. D. But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even sinners do the same? But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. [They] received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. For this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your Father in heaven will also forgive you; But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof; FROM SUCH TURN AWAY. And above all these things, put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. Very big difference!
