The Gospels present Jesus not as Deity reduced; but Divinity restrained. “Being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself.” (Philippians 2:8) Yet, this was a transitory state; lasting only 33 years, with each passing year bringing Him closer to the return to full glory. “And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.” (John 17:5) After defeating death, and rising from the grave; this restoration was fulfilled. “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” (Matthew 28:18) Let nobody make the serious mistake of equating Jesus’ meekness on earth with His grandeur in Heaven. “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.” (Philippians 2:10); saying “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” (Rev. 5:12)
