The Government’s plan to develop a new subdivision on public land at Lakatoro is proceeding: the photo shows the Minister of Lands and consultant Ernest Bani exchanging signed copies of the contract for the undertaking of the EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) for the subdivision, which Mr Bani will have to complete within the next 2 months. Following the EIA, works can begin install the services to the subdivision (roads, electricity and water). The VNPF is partnering with the Government and Malampa Province to develop this subdivision, which will be the first subdivision on public land in a provincial centre.
