The Grand Budapest Hotel - A TRIUMPH OF MARKETING You might very well like this movie. It just wasnt my cup of tea. Did you ever really love the previews to a movie so much that you couldnt wait to see it, and you loved the actors so much you just wanted to love the movie and knew you would and then you went to the movie only to discover that the best part of the movie was the hilarious previews you had seen ten times on TV? Thats how I experienced GB Hotel. The movie tried too hard to be charming. Owen Wilson was charming. Jeff Goldblum was charming. Bill Murray was more charming than ever. Albert Fiennes was wonderful. Now, if only theyd had more to work with. It was a silly movie without enough comedy to make it worthwhile. But I am in the minority. What did you think? Its okay to disagree... maybe I was just too tired tonight to enjoy the subtleties.
