The Greater Phoenix Holocaust 70 for 70 program is having their launch event on January 26 at the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus. Have you heard about this important community event? Read on to learn more: “70 Days for 70 Years,” which commemorates the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, is designed to create a positive learning experience and build a strong Jewish identity while remembering victims of the Holocaust, according to 70for70, a website of the United Kingdom’s United Synagogue, which developed this project. Participants will receive a copy of a book published specifically for this program, which includes 70 inspirational essays written by internationally renowned educators, historians and scholars. The idea is to read one of these essays – either as an individual, a couple or a family – each day for 70 days, in memory of a victim of the Holocaust.
