The Greer boy in this story was viciously attacked by a pit bull. Ill let you listen to and view the video, but the short version is that the boy got off the school bus and took a shortcut through the yard where the dog was tied up. The abuse comes in that the dog was not licensed in Greer and had received no vaccinations. Tests are being done on the dog for rabies. Should the owner be held responsible for this childs injuries? He was warned not to take a shortcut through that yard. And what about rabies? If the child develops rabies, I think the dogs owner should be held responsible. And chaining or tying up dogs? I believe that chaining and tying dogs makes them antisocial and just dangerous. I will be adding more to this post throughout this week.
