The Guam PDN failed to mention several things: First, veterans care is not an isolated tangential topic for discussion. Veterans care is a Cost of War issue and should be viewed from this lens. Second, when viewed from the cost of war perspective, congressional funding is the smallest piece compared to the very expensive capabilities tied to mission sets of the DoD. Third, Guam is not getting all that it should because the Guam Rep is not fighting hard enough for veterans on the Hill. When was the last time Madeleine Bordallo visited Patty Murray or Bernie Sanders for coffee and cupcakes to talk about these issues? Probably never and that, in part, is why Guam doesnt get what it needs because the folks who can deliver the influence are out to lunch or on taxpayer CO-DEL junkets to Jordan drinking tea with the Queen Rania.
