The HKTDC Inno Design Tech (IDT) Expo took place recently at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Apart from local designs and technologies, global innovations from countries including China, Korea, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan were also showcased at the expo. One of the highlights this year was IDT Expo’s partnership with Sweden to present the seamless integration of inspiring design and our daily life under the theme of living design. Inspiration from global creative minds came together at the expo’s Inspiration Hall. More than 50 innovative Swedish brands and companies, such as Ankarsrum, Electrolux, IKEA, Scania, Sweco and Volvo, shared their inspiring forefront ideas and how design brings about positive change to our lives. Inaugurated in 2005, the IDT Expo has come to its 10th anniversary this year. Co-organised with Hong Kong Design Centre and Hong Kong Science & Technology Park, the expo has become the region’s major event on creativity and innovation.
