The #Hagaz massacre: Dear friends, I told you I had most memorable time with a big family get together. True, it was one of the most amazing times I ever had. What I didnt tell you is, I also came across with one of the survivors of the untold massacre of #Hagaz where 20-30 thousand (according to my informant) Ethiopians were slaughtered by Shabiya when they were already leaving Eritrea after the Dergue regime falls apart and TPLF was in the outskirts of Addis in the month of may, 1991. Many of the witnesses who talked about this incident were immediately executed in Mekelle and elsewhere between 1991- 1994. I am hopeful I am not the next. I want you all to help me find any written material about this gruesome massacre. I need your help in getting me any important information about it. This could open a whole new chapter between the two governments and people and know that this is a very delicate matter. Thanks in advance.
