The Hall of Fames Education Department extends congratulations to Little League sensation Mone Davis for being named Sports Kid of the Year by Sports Illustrated for Kids Magazine. Davis is seen here on the cover of the magazines year-ending double issue. Davis, who is featured in the Halls educational module on Women in Baseball, became the 18th girl to play in the Little League World Series. In leading her Philadelphia team to the Series, she became the first girl to record a win and a shutout in Little League World Series history. Davis jersey is currently on display in the Halls Baseball Today exhibit, located on the second floor of the Museum. Congratulations, Mone.
