The Hansen`s disease on the rise?? 3 men,28, 29 & 62yrs. presented with visible thickened Greater auricular nerves, within two days at my private clinic. These all are new cases, not received any treatment. One from Amarapura, the other from Kyaukse township, thenext from Mandalay. 28 yr old case has multipal thickened nerves (g.auricular, Ulner ,lateral popleteal,posterior tibial & superficial cutaneous nerve Ianthe left calf) with wasting small muscles of hand with ulner clawing. The 29 yr old case is married with younger kid of 2 month. Superficial erosion in the chin, with numbness in the left side of the face. No other nerves are enlarged. The 62 yr old man has scaly lesions with jewels of pinna of left ear. Scaly erythematous plaques in the rt. flank & left thigh. According to ice berg phenomenon more cases of this communicable disease in the public may cause a burden one day. Disease control programme should review the strategy .
