The Hard And The Easy There are many reasons why God cannot tell us about every aspect of the journey we are on. But today, Im going to give you one scenario about why God may not have told you about every aspect of your journey. Let us suppose that the first part of your journey, or the first half of your life, was surrounded by difficult circumstances. Such circumstances made your walk with God very difficult. It may be that God needed to use the first half of your life, to remove a lot of the rough edges from off of you. The first half of your life might require God to put you through a number of trials. He may have wanted to start his perfecting work in your life, like the clay on the potters wheel, in Jeremiah 18:4. Suppose that God were to show you the trials you needed to go through, during those years. They might put you off from following God, right from the very start of your journey. You might not be prepared to even contemplate living the Christian life, which God destined for you. Therefore, because your journey might have a lot of difficulties, God may have decided to let you only see part of that journey, a step at a time, to avoid discouraging you. And this may very well be one reason why we need to walk by faith. God may not want us to see all the giants in the land, which need to be defeated. If we were to see them all at one time, we would most likely be overwhelmed by such things. Now, let us suppose that during the second half of our journey with God, in later life, God was going to bring us into increased blessings. Let us assume that during such a period, many of the trials we went through in the first part of our journey were completed. Our Christian walk moved more onto an even keel. Let us imagine that Gods blessings, during the second part of our journey were so great, that to be shown them would overwhelm us. We could end up putting our feet up in apathy, with no concerns about our future. The trials, in the first part of our journey served as training for us. However, the blessings of the second part of our journey could be as detrimental to us, without that training. God, would not want us to be put off by the difficulties of the first part of our journey. Neither would he wants us to be side-tracked, by the blessings of the second part of our journey, God may chose only to reveal parts of the journey at a time. So if you have ever wondered why God reveals only part of your journey to you, a bit at a time, then wonder no more. He is trying to protect you from all the eventualities of life, which could put you off, whether they are good or bad.
