The Healing Blues is a community based project spearheaded by Greensboro College that partners local musicians, artists, and philanthropists with individuals from the homeless community in order to share their experience, strength and hope.Proceeds from the Healing Blues Project will go to the Interactive Resource Center, a community based outreach and resource provider, in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Musicians donated their performances to the project, and the homeless storytellers, as co-authors of the songs, will receive a share of the royalties. Update: As of December 31, 2014 (covering the period including October through December 2014) the Greensboro College Healing Blues project has donated over $10,000 to the Interactive Resource Center for the homeless in Greensboro. This is one of the two songs my band contributed.
